ICT: A new horizon for Human Sciences Graduates in Africa


The increasing number of unemployed young graduates, particularly in the humanities and social sciences, unfortunately aggravates poverty in terms of Africa. However, the digital sector is now attracting the interest of various disciplines such as psychology, sociology, philosophy and anthropology. Here we examine the boom of the digital economy, its impact on the employability of soft skills, and the potential semi-conversion of this workforce.


Context of the digital economy boom in Africa


Unemployment is a major challenge in Africa, forcing many young graduates to settle for precarious jobs to survive. THE graduates of practical and technical sciences have better chances of find employment, leaving those in the humanities or social sciences in a hard situation.
